Welcome to the Fellowship Program in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology, where we combine advanced surgical training with a comprehensive approach to oncological care.
This program is designed for surgeons seeking to deepen their expertise in the intricate and demanding field of head and neck oncology.
The fellowship emphasizes hands-on surgical experience, exposure to the latest therapeutic techniques, and active involvement in clinical research.
Fellows will gain proficiency in the management of a wide range of malignancies, from the common to the rare, while also understanding the importance of reconstructive surgery, microvascular surgery and the nuances of preserving function and appearance.
Fellows are supposed to follow a prefixed programme as scheduled by the department which comprises of ward rounds, attending patients in the OPD, assisting and hands on in the OT, CME, seminars, tumor board and rotation in allied departments.
The academic program of the fellowship also incorporates grand rounds, VTBs, morbidity & mortality meeting, journal club with a frequency of three times a week.
So far, we have trained more than 10 surgical fellows & the centre is recognised for Head Neck Surgery fellowship under MUHS since 2016 and has been recently accredited as FHNO Indus institute fellowship centre.
