On World Cancer Day, Kolhapur Cancer Centre – Cancer Centers of America organised a city-wide cancer awareness rally, receiving an overwhelming response from citizens.

District Superintendent of Police Yogesh Kumar Gupta emphasised the vital role of public awareness in winning the fight against cancer. Welcoming the gathering, Dr. Reshma Pawar, Executive Director, spoke about breaking cancer-related myths and encouraged citizens to utilise government health schemes and cashless treatment options.

Dr. Sandeep Patil highlighted the global significance of observing World Cancer Day through sustained awareness efforts.

Doctors, nursing students, and staff marched across key city routes with strong preventive messages on quitting tobacco, regular screenings, and timely treatment—reinforcing that early detection saves lives.
