What are the facilities available in the hospital?
KCC is a Comprehensive cancer care centre. Most of the facilities related to cancer care are available at KCC.
Do you have the facility of cashless treatment?
Yes, we do have the facility of Cashless Treatment Benefit which is subject to the concerned TPA’s Letter of Approval issued to Kolhapur Cancer Centre.
Do we need to pay any advance at the time of admission?
Yes, patients are required to pay a deposit as per the category of the bed at the time of admission. In case of a surgery or a procedure, the total estimated amount has to be deposited with the hospital before the surgery.
Does the hospital have 24x7 emergency care?
Yes, the hospital has 24 x 7 x 365 days for Emergencies.
What are the consultation charges in the OPD?
Consultation charges in the OPD (for any Doctor) is Rs.500/- only. For Special Clinics, the fees vary between Rs.600/- to Rs. 1000/-
What is the mode of payment?
Patients can make the deposit by cash, debit or credit cards or demand draft, cheques, Net Banking.
Can the room be retained, if the patient is shifted to the ICU?
Attendants need to vacate the room if the patient is shifted to an ICU.
What is a Day Care Chemotherapy?
Day Care Chemotherapy is the therapy, a part of cancer treatment where the patient is not required to stay in the hospital overnight.
What is a day care surgery?
During a Day Care Surgery, the patient is not required to stay in the hospital overnight.
How many attendant passes are issued?
To minimize crowding and noise in the patient care area, only one attendant pass is issued per patient. The pass has to be surrendered at the admission counter at the time of the discharge.

Is my Mediclaim policy accepted at your hospital?
Yes, if your TPA is on the panel of our hospital.
Do you have telephone facilities for the patients?
Yes, telephone connections are provided in all the wards and rooms to facilitate communication. Also in case of medical emergency you will be given dedicated contact number at the time of discharge.
What is the procedure for discharge?
Your consultant will make an entry for discharge on your case sheet. After this, the resident doctors prepare the discharge card. Then the file is sent to the IPD reception for clearance, after which the final bill is prepared, taking into account all the deposits. When the final bill is ready, payment has to be made at the admission counter. This procedure may take 2-3 hours.
