Empowering Young Minds on International HPV Awareness Day

On International HPV Awareness Day, an awareness session was conducted at KIT College of Engineering, Kolhapur (Empowered Autonomous) by Dr. Reshma Pawar, Executive Director, Kolhapur Cancer Centre – Cancer Centers of America.

The session highlighted an important message — cervical cancer is largely preventable through timely HPV vaccination. Students were encouraged to understand the importance of prevention and help spread awareness among their families and communities.

Focusing on young adults in the ideal age group for catch-up vaccination, the initiative aimed to bridge the awareness gap and inspire responsible health choices for a safer future.
