77th Republic Day Celebration at Kolhapur Cancer Centre | A Tribute to Service
At Kolhapur Cancer Centre – Cancer Centers of America, the tricolor was hoisted with dignity and devotion by Sister Afia Jamadar, who has been serving here for the past 18 years. Her words reminded us that “Patient care is divine service”—a philosophy she has lived every single day through compassion, dedication, and resilience.
From the journey of Purvai Hospital to Kolhapur Cancer Centre, Sister Jamadar’s service stands as a shining example of commitment. She reflected on the challenges faced over the years, especially during the pandemic, and emphasized that Republic Day is not just a celebration of our rights, but also a reminder of our duties toward the nation. For her, serving patients, giving them courage, and contributing to a healthier society is the truest form of national duty.
Dr. Reshma Pawar highlighted how such initiatives strengthen unity and collective spirit, encouraging everyone to contribute together as one family to uphold the reputation and mission of Kolhapur Cancer Centre.
The event also honored winners of badminton and cricket competitions, adding joy and togetherness to the celebration. Esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Yogesh Anap, Dr. Parag Watwe, and Chetan Jawale, along with staff, patients, and relatives, graced the occasion.
🙏 On this Republic Day, we salute the spirit of service, unity, and dedication that binds us all. May we continue to serve with compassion and uphold the values of our Constitution.
