He is Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon with special interest in congenital deformities (Birth Deformities), Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery ,Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Cosmetic Laser Surgery. He was the Sr Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the JN medical college and KLE university Belgaum for over 9 years and is a recognized teacher and Examiner in Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Prabhu is very passionate about Surgical volunteering and dedicates 6 to 8 weeks a year for surgical volunteering in international Humanitarian Missions- in Gadchiroli conducting free surgical camps. He also volunteers in free reconstructive surgeries in burn cases as well as an Accredited International Surgical Volunteer with organizations like the Smile Train Operation Smile Rotary International Smile Asia and MSF or the Nobel prize Winning NGO Doctors without Borders wherein he has Worked in Dangerous Warzones like Gaza and Syria.
